LGBTQIA+ Youth & Prevention Series | Session 1: An Introduction to Supporting LGBTQIA+ Youth

Join a virtual introduction to and discussion on methods of supporting LGBTQIA+ youth. Learning objectives include:

  • Enhance your knowledge of LGBTQIA+ vocabulary

  • Identify and review CT LGBTQIA+ data trends

  • Learn to use the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) to identify population-specific risk and protective factors

  • Understand prevention strategies to support LGBTQIA+ youth

This training meets the Connecticut Certification Board requirements for 1.5 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the Certified Prevention Specialist Certification.

Representatives from TTASC, The Hub, Triangle Community Center and the New Haven Pride Center will provide this training!
