The formation of coalitions are the life-blood of our community prevention efforts. TTASC has created the following tools and materials in order for prevention professionals to form an effective community coalition and to have the resources to ensure that their operations can run smoothly.

  • We have built these tools for use of those who work in and want to build effective coalitions centered around substance prevention. It is our hope that with these tools, we can build capacity and visibility of the prevention field in Connecticut and nationwide. You may find value in these tools if you are: a new or veteran coalition coordinator, a youth peer advocate, a human service professional/social worker, a parent, an educator and many other roles in substance use prevention!

  • Yes! As a Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) funded partner, our tools and resources are free to use. We are also available to provide technical assistance and training to your group or coalition!

  • We suggest signing up for a class on our learning management system, which you can access here. Both Prevention 101 and Strategic Prevention Framework 101 are good places to start in your journey to prevention competence.

  • All of our TTASC staff are trained professionals in providing technical assistance and training in prevention and other aspects of building a coalition that will meet all of your goals. If you would like a consultation to discuss the goals of your coalition, please contact at: TTASC@xsector.com
