This virtual 90-minute training will review how problem gambling and gambling disorder are often an overlooked public health issue. This presentation will examine how gambling would be considered within public health frameworks such as the socioecological model and social determinants of health and how we can use an upstream approach to address problem gambling. An overview of the gambling landscape in CT will be discussed, as well as what populations are most at risk. This training builds upon the foundational knowledge of TTASC’s 3-part Gambling Prevention series. Attendees will earn 1.5 hours of continuing education units (CEUs).
