This course introduces evidence-based prevention strategies and reviews the six developed and approved by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. These six prevention strategies are information dissemination, prevention education, environmental strategies, community-based processes, and problem identification & referral to services.
