CT Prevention Resources
CT Association of Prevention Professionals (CAPP)
The Connecticut Association of
Prevention Professionals is a statewide network of prevention advocates that
identifies and spreads awareness of behavioral health trends while ensuring
growth of the field and providing resources across the state.
We envision CT as a state that:
1) makes prevention a priority, 2) celebrates positive, healthy choices and 3)
responds proactively to behavioral health issues.
CAPP membership is comprised of
community coalitions, behavioral health organizations, representatives of state
agencies, law enforcement officers, academics, and other valuable stakeholders.
Center for the Prevention Evaluation and Statistics
The Center for Prevention
Evaluations and Statistics (CPES), staffed
by Jane Ungemack, Dr. PH., Principal Investigator, and Jennifer Sussman,
Coordinator, was established to support DMHAS in its prevention and health
promotion efforts through the identification, collection, analysis,
interpretation and dissemination of data pertaining to substance abuse
prevention, mental health, and health disparities. The CPES will convene,

Connecticut Prevention Network (CPN)
The Connecticut Prevention Network (CPN) is the professional association
of the state's 13 Regional Action Councils (RACs). The mission of CPN is to
serve as a coordinated statewide organization that promotes wellness and
reduces the negative effects of substance abuse and related risky behaviors.

Connecticut
Clearinghouse is a statewide library and resource center for information on
substance use and mental health disorders, prevention and health promotion,
treatment and recovery, wellness and other related topics. Materials from our specialized library and
resource center are available to Connecticut families, teachers, students,
professionals, communities and children.

Clinic’s Connecticut Center for Prevention, Wellness and Recovery, the
Connecticut Clearinghouse is funded by the Connecticut
Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

Partnership

With a focus on Connecticut’s youth, The Governor’s Prevention
Partnership is a statewide public-private alliance, building a strong, healthy
future workforce through leadership in mentoring and prevention of violence,
underage drinking, alcohol and drug abuse.
