State Opioid Response Municipal Guide Lunch and Learn

This training is to guide municipal leaders, prevention coalitions, and local departments through a process to help your municipality leverage opioid settlement funds by establishing a whole-of- government approach and building upon existing resources and strategies to establish coordinated services, decision making, progress monitoring, and improved outcomes for healthier communities.
Participants are expected to have read the Municipal Guide and Workbook prior to attending and be prepared to share implementation challenges, barriers, and successes at the local level. Participants are also strongly encouraged to register for our October 15, 2026 Opioid Response Training & Municipal Toolkit where this resource will first be introduced.

Learning Objectives:
– Clarify municipal leadership’s role and a leadership structure for opioid settlement funds
– Work through the guide’s tools: the supply and demand framework, the department crosswalk, and the resources, needs, and gaps inventory
– Troubleshoot how to authorize work, select strategies, and monitor progress
– Leave with an action plan template and additional planning resources
This training is eligible for up to 1 CEU upon completion.
