Lunch & Learn Description: This virtual training explores how your prevention efforts connect to Connecticut’s broader substance use and problem gambling prevention ecosystem. Using a grocery store metaphor, this session will guide you through resources, strategies, and partnerships that strengthen prevention work across local, regional, and state-levels.
Learning Objectives:
– Understand the key components of CT’s Prevention Infrastructure
– Highlight the roles of RBHAOs and Local Prevention Councils
– Explore TTASC’s Learning Management System as a professional development tool
– Identify evidence-based prevention strategies as they are applied throughout the infrastructure
– Understand how your work fits into local, regional, and state-wide prevention initiatives to create a cohesive ecosystem
Intended Audience: Community health workers, mental health professionals, youth service providers, coalition leaders, educators, and other prevention professionals.
This training, hosted as a lunch-and-learn, meets the requirements of the Connecticut Certification Board (CCB) for 1 hour of CEUs applicable to the Certified Prevention Specialist certification.
