Engaging Community Sectors: Working Together:

Boomers, Gen X, Millennials & Generation Z

Coalition volunteers and target audiences span generations, from Baby Boomers to the preteen members of Gen Z. The shared experiences of each generation shapes how members react, behave, and believe. There are often differences but similarities too. This training will give participants an in depth look at the uniqueness of and commonalities between generations while providing techniques for keeping them engaged and invested in coalition efforts.

Learning Objectives:

1.       Participants will be able to identify unique traits, commonalities and differences in the generations spanning Baby Boomers through iGen or Generation Z.

2.        Participants will learn the best ways to engage members of each generation in coalition/prevention work.

3.       Participants will begin to create a tailored work plan for volunteers and staff of identified generations.
