Community-level Data Collection, COVID-19 and Beyond: Approaches and Considerations for Prevention
This interactive technical assistance event will explore approaches during the COVID-19 pandemic
to community-level data collection, including student and parent surveys, focus
groups, and online surveys, among others. Evaluation subject matter experts Nina Chanana, Emily
Melnick, and Bonnie Smith will share insights as local evaluators for
coalitions including a recent effort to study COVID’s impact on youth and adult
alcohol/drug use. Evaluators will provide guidance for
interpreting and disseminating data collected during COVID, including uses,
contextual considerations, and data limitations. The event will conclude
with participant questions, peer sharing and group troubleshooting/discussion.
